Summertime calls for cocktails and relaxing, and that’s exactly what’s in store for you over the coming months, as World Class Cocktail Festival lands in Europe.
Throughout June and July, World Class Cocktail Festival events will be taking place in a number of European cities giving drinks enthusiasts an opportunity to sample a selection of entries into this year’s World Class competition. And remember these bartenders are competing to be named ‘best in the world’ – so they know a thing or two about a good cocktail…
Supporting bars and bartenders
However, unlike many cocktail events around the globe, this isn’t just a celebration of all things cocktail. The World Class Cocktail Festival has been designed to not only encourage attendees to sample the drinks entered into this year’s World Class competition, but also to support individual venues and bartenders in their own promotion of the event.
For every bar taking part in the festival, a bespoke social media campaign will be undertaken via the official World Class Facebook and Instagram pages, promoting each drink and venue to customers.
To compliment the social media campaign, each venue will also receive bespoke in bar promotional merchandise which will encourage guests to visit the worldclassclub.com and show their support by voting for their favourite venue and cocktails! Once the votes have been counted, World Class will announce a regional winning venue who will pick up some amazing prizes.
The World Class Competition
World Class was created to make people care about what, where and how they drink, in the same way they do about food. It offers bartenders across the world support, training and inspiration and is a voice of authority for drinks enthusiasts from bartenders to drinks commentators to social influencers on the latest drinks trends, bartending skills, recipes and industry insights.
Since 2009, Diageo Reserve World Class has been igniting the passion of bartenders in more than55 countries around the world through intensive programs aimed at elevating their bartending skills.
Whether you’re a cocktail aficionado or just someone looking for a tasty tipple, throughout the festival you’ll be able to taste some of the best creations from this year’s competitors, as well as witness some of the most skilled bartenders demonstrate their talents through the art and science of cocktail making.
Over 200 venues across 16 countries across Europe will be taking part. To get involved, head to the Cocktail Festival link at the top of the page and check out your nearest participating venue.
